[Case Study of Problem-Solving Proposal] Roller Hoisting and Stacking
Create a robot program that skillfully unhooks like a human hand!
We would like to introduce a case study of a problem-solving proposal for "suspending and stacking rollers" conducted at the headquarters factory of JRC Corporation. Before the proposal, rollers transported in a suspended state by a trolley conveyor were manually removed from hooks by one worker, while another worker visually checked the finish of the paint. If there were no issues, the rollers were stacked onto mesh pallets or similar. After the proposal, a single robot performs the task of removing the rollers from the hooks, while the paint check is conducted using camera sensors and AI. Rollers that pass the inspection are then stacked by another robot. [Case Overview] ■ Issues - The task of removing items from a height above the head using both hands is dangerous and places a significant physical burden on workers. ■ Proposal - Automate the tasks of two workers using two robots. - Visual inspections are conducted separately using camera sensors, which are trained to recognize defective workpieces, allowing AI to determine quality. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
